—> open themes for 2016-2018

Hi everyone,

NMP will be wrapping up our regular bimonthly issues when we reach year 10 (!) in 2018. Thereafter, we’ll turn NMP into an ongoing offbeat blog of sorts (so, all is not lost!)

For these last few issues, the themes will be shaped from the submissions we receive and/or the keywords you propose.

We’re looking for raw, sensitive, and provocative submissions from activists, academics, and artists *especially in, from or about Canada.

We curate 5 pieces per issue, and we book up fast, so please send us your ideas as soon as possible, by email (info@nomorepotlucks.org) in a clear short pitch, with links or images. We welcome interviews, theoretical texts, fictional accounts — all kinds of experiments. We are also looking for a cover photographer (with an accompanying interview) for each upcoming issue.

Please fill out this form and send it in with your email. Thank you! Thank you!

    • By default, your work is copyrighted.
    • On using images, video, etc that aren’t yours: If you didn’t make/take the image/video/audio, you don’t own it.
If you can ask the person who owns it for permission, great, (best to get that in writing.)
If you got the image from a creative commons source (like this), relay that cc license to us.
From anywhere else, it’s probably copyrighted (even most on Wikipedia, yes!) which means you can use if YOU
decide it falls under fair dealing). If you’re not sure, don’t use it. Check out this sources for Public Domain and CC:

    • We encourage use of Creative Commons licenses. Select your license here:

    • With a Creative Commons license, you keep your copyright but allow people to
copy and distribute your work provided they give you credit — and only on the conditions you specify.
    • By Submitting to NMP, you are agreeing to let us edit your work, and when applicable, make certain
formatting choices. We will publish (in print and as an epub) a version of each edition of NMP.
